ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING
Satori offers a wide range of environmental consulting services. Whether you require a Hazardous Building Materials Survey or a Phase I ESA, Satori’s environmental professionals receive comprehensive training to deliver cost effective results.
ASBESTOS CONSULTING SERVICES

Satori has been providing a wide range of asbestos related services for nearly 25 years. Our professionals have collected thousands of samples as AHERA Building Inspectors throughout Alaska for large scale projects or small area renovations. If your home or building was built after 1980, the risk of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) is lower, but not entirely eliminated. Asbestos is highly regulated, but not fully banned in the U.S. Many construction materials containing asbestos were still used into the 1990’s and even the early 2000’s due to importing or stockpiled materials!
If you plan to renovate or disturb materials, prevent potential asbestos exposure by testing materials beforehand. Satori Group has multiple AHERA certified inspectors for your sampling needs. Receive test results quickly from a NVLAP accredited laboratory and expedited results are always available upon request. Specific asbestos related services we offer include the following:
- Asbestos Containing Material Surveys (Full Structure or Renovation Specific sampling)
- ASTM E1368 Visual Inspections
- Asbestos Air Sampling (NIOSH 7400, Phase Contrast Microscopy, and Transmission Electron Microscopy)
- Asbestos Management Plans (schools, commercial buildings)
- Landfill Authorization – debris profiles
- AHERA Project Designs
LEAD CONSULTING SERVICES

According to the EPA, 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1978 have Lead-Based Paint (LBP) and exposure can have serious consequences to one’s health, especially children. Satori’s EPA certified lead professionals determine where lead paint exists, assess paint conditions, and provide recommendations for abatement, encapsulation, or interim controls. Problems arise when paint is disturbed (such as during a renovation) or when paint starts deteriorating.
If your home was built before 1978, it may contain lead-based paint on the inside and out. Using x-ray fluorescence (XRF) non-destructive testing, Satori Group provides property owners with a cost-effective assessment of paint surfaces.
