Description
This course is designed for individuals responsible for fall protection management, equipment inspection, and supervising employees working at heights. Participants will learn key aspects of fall hazard assessment, fall protection system selection and application, equipment inspection, and job site protection program management. The training covers the hierarchy of fall protection, proper use of various systems, and workplace hazard evaluations to ensure compliance with OSHA industry safety standards (29 CFR Subpart M: 1926.500, 1926.501, 1926.502, and 1926.503). This course equips attendees with the knowledge and skills needed to implement effective fall protection measures in the workplace.

Description
This 24-hour AHERA Asbestos Project Designer Initial course accredits individuals responsible for designing asbestos abatement projects or developing asbestos abatement plans. Using classroom instruction and real-world case studies, participants learn how to create effective and compliant project designs, specifications, and work plans. This training is required for any asbestos abatement project exceeding three (3) square feet or three (3) linear feet. The course meets AHERA, ASHARA, and TSCA Title II accreditation requirements for project designers.

Students will review and apply response strategies using an AHERA-compliant Asbestos Management Plan. Certification is awarded upon passing a 50-question exam. Current AHERA Building Inspector certification is required for enrollment.

The AHERA Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Initial course is designed for workers, contractors, supervisors, consultants, and site-surveillance technicians involved in asbestos abatement projects. The curriculum covers essential topics, including History and uses of asbestos, health risks and exposure effects, protective equipment and work practices, inspection procedures and safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and best practices. Students will gain practical, hands-on experience through real-world scenarios taught by experienced instructors, enabling them to immediately apply their knowledge in the field. This course meets the training requirements of the State of Alaska DOL 8 AAC 61.600-790, OSHA 29 CFR 1910, 1915, and 1926, and EPA/AHERA 40 CFR Part 763 Subpart E.
